Introduction

Menyuan County is famous for its continuous dozens of kilometers of rapeseed flowers every July, and it is also a major oilseed planting area in northwest China. The local rapeseed planting area is about 600,000 mu, and July is the best time to appreciate the flowers, which are more impressive than the rapeseed flowers in southern China. Due to the fields mostly slanting towards the river, looking from the riverbank, a golden sea of rapeseed flowers is spread over the fields, echoing the Qilian Mountains. To enjoy this beautiful scenery, the best observation points are the Yuan Shan Flower Observation Deck in Qingshizui Town across from the cement plant in Nanshan of Menyuan County, and the Daban Mountain Observation Deck.
