Introduction

Located about 6 kilometers southeast of Tianchi, Di Chi has an altitude of 1,123 meters. It has a length of 150 meters and a width of 100 meters, with an area of 1.25 hectares. The maximum depth reaches 50 meters, and it is surrounded by dense and hard basalt. It is a typical Maar lake, named because the surface of the water is lower than the ground. Di Chi is a lake formed by the accumulation of water in a collapsed volcanic crater caused by the later stage of a lava lake.
