Introduction

Beiji Village, formerly known as Mohe Village and also called Mohe Township, is located at the northernmost tip of China and is the northernmost tourist attraction in the country. It has unique geographical landmarks such as the northernmost residential house, the northernmost observation post, and the northernmost post office that are highly exciting. Beiji Village is known for the aurora borealis and polar day phenomena, and is the only place where one can have a chance to observe the aurora borealis in China, although the probability is small. Around the summer solstice, there are almost 24 hours of daylight, with the sky turning white at midnight and the sunset still visible in the west and the sunrise appearing in the east, making it look like dusk and dawn. Tourists usually choose to visit Beiji Village in winter or summer to enjoy those unimaginable experiences.
