Aershan Baiwang Peak Scenic Area
The highest peak of Bailang Summit is 1,511 meters above sea level. The peak is surrounded by a nearly 200-hectare icy stone sea, which serves as a natural viewing platform for the scenic area. The scenic area consists mainly of Bailang Summit and Taor River National Wetland Park, combining the icy stone sea, primitive forests, wetland ice and snow, rivers and lakes, as well as wolf culture and local folklore to create tourism products. The attractions include birch forests, icy stone sea, Xing'an Observation Deck for sightseeing and prayer, Mongolian wolf family leisure, Taor River rafting experience, wetland wildlife and botanical garden, wetland popular science education center, secluded Tao source hotel, self-driving campsite, elk park, rime, and Xing'an sunrise viewing. If you're lucky, you can even capture the sunrise over Bailang Summit in a stunning photograph.
Bailanggou Film and Television Base
The area is rarely visited and covered in deep snow, making it slippery in winter. The Bai Lang Gou Film and Television Base is located in the Bai Lang Peak Scenic Area, where the TV series "Da Lin Hai" was filmed. The scenes from the show are still preserved here.
The Arxan National Forest Park is nestled in the vast forests of the Greater Khingan Mountains. The park is home to the main peak of the Greater Khingan Mountains, Mount Termei (elevation 1,378 meters), and the largest lake in the Greater Khingan Mountains, Lake Darbin. It also boasts the Stone Pond Forest, formed by the solidification of lava flows from volcanic eruptions, and the Heavenly Pool. The park has abundant mineral springs and is known as the "World's Strange Springs". It is home to Mount Termei, the highest peak in the Greater Khingan Mountains, and Lake Darbin, the largest lake in the Greater Khingan Mountains.
Tuo Feng Ling Tian Chi
There are two Tianchi (Heavenly Lake) in Arxan. One is called Arxan Tianchi, which is relatively close to the tourist center. The other one is Tuofeng Ling Tianchi, which is further away and attracts fewer visitors. It is known for its beautiful legends and tranquil atmosphere, offering a different charm compared to Arxan Tianchi. With fewer tourists, it often presents a stunning rime spectacle in winter. The scenery is breathtaking.
Don't freeze the river
The Unfrozen River is a section of the Hala River located 74 kilometers from Wenzuan Street in Arxan City. It never freezes in winter and has been a wonder for many years. The Unfrozen River stretches about 20 kilometers from Santanxia to Jinjianggou Forestry Farm, with flowing water throughout the winter. Even in the severe cold of minus 30 degrees Celsius, when all the rivers and streams in the city are frozen, this section of the river remains hot and flowing. In the freezing cold, green water plants can be seen growing in the river, with mist rising from the surface, reflecting the afterglow of the setting sun and creating a magnificent scene akin to colorful clouds. The Unfrozen River is formed by the exchange of water and geothermal energy in this section.
Tongxin Tianchi
Heavenly Lake is located on the Tianchi Ridge, 74 kilometers northeast of Arxan, at an altitude of 1332.3 meters and has 484 steps. It ranks third in the country, following Bogda Peak Heavenly Lake in Xinjiang Tian Shan Mountains and Baitou Mountain Heavenly Lake in Jilin Province, in terms of elevation. Heavenly Lake is 450 meters long from east to west and 300 meters wide from north to south. From an aerial view, it has a droplet shape, resembling a sparkling jade embedded at the top of majestic and lush mountains. Like the Heavenly Lake on the Hump Peak Ridge, it was also formed by accumulated water after a volcanic eruption. One of its miracles is that it never dries up in drought or overflows in heavy rain, and the water level remains stable for many years. Another miracle is that Heavenly Lake has no inflows or outflows of rivers, yet its water is exceptionally clean. A few kilometers away from Heavenly Lake, there is Zimei Lake, which is abundant in fish, but Heavenly Lake has none. It is said to be unfathomable and humorously connected to the center of the earth. However, these mysteries cannot diminish the beauty of Heavenly Lake. Its surface is as smooth as a mirror, reflecting the lush pines and cypresses, blue sky, and white clouds, creating a breathtaking view. In the transition between spring and summer, as moisture accumulates in the mountains, clouds and mist envelop the mountaintops, with white clouds rising and rolling down intermittently. The lush pines and birches enclose the lake, creating a unique natural landscape of Heavenly Lake.
