Uzhumuqin Grassland
Located in the most magnificent and spectacular place on the northern grasslands of China, the Xilingol Grassland is known as the 'Paradise Grassland.' The Uzhumuqin Grassland to the east is arguably the cleanest grassland, virtually an undeveloped virgin land with well-preserved ecological environment. It also served as a filming location for the movie 'Wolf Totem.' This trip is a must-go.
Xilin Nine Bends
Legend has it that Genghis Khan and his wife rode their horses to the Xilin River and were captivated by the scenery. Unbeknownst to them, his wife's scarf accidentally fell onto the grass. When they looked back, the scarf had turned the straight flow of the Xilin River into ninety-nine bends. Taking photos at these ninety-nine bends requires good luck; the best time is after continuous rain when the water is abundant.
Pingdingshan
According to legend, when Genghis Khan led his army to this place, the continuous mountain peaks blocked his way, so he flattened all the mountain tops with a single sword stroke—this is the legend of the Eastern version of the Caladbolg spiral sword. In reality, this unique phenomenon was caused by volcanic activity. If you have the stamina to climb Pingdingshan yourself, the most spectacular side of the grassland will unfold before your eyes.
Duolun Lake
A 4A-level scenic spot, a large lake with a circumference of 40 kilometers. Here, you can ride horses around the lake, go boating, or fish and swim. What's even more interesting is that although there is no beach here, there is a vast lake and wide fine sand. Playing with sand on the grassland by the water? Yes, Duolun Lake is just that cool!
Hunshandake Tourist Area
The Hunshandake Desert is a unique gem among deserts. Its landscape is distinctive, with dense water networks, lush vegetation, and few animals. These features are the result of over 20 years of efforts in windbreak and sand fixation. The hardworking and brave people of Inner Mongolia have transformed the desert into a 'Jiangnan beyond the Great Wall'.
