Phoenix Mountain Ski Resort
Phoenix Mountain Ski Resort is located in the southeastern suburbs of Yakeshi City, 16 kilometers from the urban area. It is a national 2A-level tourist attraction. The resort is large in scale, has a long snow season, a complete variety of ski trails, and rich snow activities. The ski resort has four ski lifts for beginners, intermediate, and advanced skiers, with a total length of 5800 meters of ski trails. Phoenix Mountain Ski Resort has been designated as a reserve talent base for the national Bayi Ski Team and a cross-country skiing training base for the national Paralympic team. The National Youth Cross-Country Skiing Championships were held here in 2005 and 2006. It has also consecutively hosted three sessions of the Hulunbuir China Snow Opening Festival and the 2006 Silver Hulunbuir Yakeshi Phoenix Mountain Ski Festival and the 'New Continent' Cup China-Russia-Mongolia Ski Invitational.
Lama Mountain Station
Bao'an Temple is located on the east side of the Lama Peak Scenic Area, surrounded by green trees and mountains. It covers an area of 189,000 square meters and has a building area of 5,200 square meters. The main structures include four main halls, the mountain gate, the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Mahavira Hall, and the Sutra Library. It houses the largest white marble Maitreya Buddha statue in China, donated by the Hafei Group. The statue weighs 42 tons and is 4.5 meters high.
Hexiangyuan Tourist Resort is a comprehensive tourism resource unit that combines natural and cultural resources. This area belongs to the cold temperate continental climate, with long and cold winters, mild and rainy summers, large temperature differences between day and night, and abundant precipitation. The total area of the scenic area is 4660 hectares, with a high forest coverage rate. The main tree species include larch, Korean pine, and white birch. The main scenic spots include Hexiangyuan Tourist Resort, Memorial Forest, White Birch Forest Scenic Area, Mangyankou Scenic Area, Wuliantan, Scenic Grand Canyon, Dreamland Wonder Valley, Leigong Stone, and Demon King Cave.
Lama Lake
Lama Lake is located within the ecological park at the foot of Lama Mountain. It is the jewel of the Lama Mountain Scenic Area, known for its picturesque landscapes. Lama Lake is elegant, tranquil, and magnificent, showcasing an alluring natural beauty. Here, you can enjoy activities such as drifting, boating, and fishing. Lama Lake is the spirit of Lama Mountain National Forest Park, complementing Lama Mountain perfectly, and can be described as a divine holy lake.
Chuoyuan National Forest Park
Chuoyuan National Forest Park is located 170 kilometers southeast of Yakeshi City, on the southern slope of the Greater Khingan Range, and 234 kilometers from Hulunbuir City. It is named after being the source of the Chuoer River. Chuoyuan National Forest Park is a national 3A-level scenic spot and an Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region-level patriotic education base. The park mainly develops and utilizes the wetland landscape and the relics of the Japanese puppet regime. The forest coverage rate here is high, and there are many wild animals and plants. The Yulin Scenic Area includes a 3-kilometer wetland boardwalk, primeval forest, 6 wooden villas, and 1 water restaurant. The Wudan Scenic Area includes Yixiantian, a forest adventure maze, and Qingling Lake. In May 1942, Japanese imperialists built a military defense line in Chuoyuan to defend against the Soviet Red Army, consisting mainly of 18 fighter hangars, a 100,000-square-meter airfield, a command post, and more than 20 bunker caves. The park's patriotic education base includes the relics of the Japanese puppet regime's airfield, hangars, bunker caves, the Japanese command post site, and a patriotic education exhibition hall.
