Moxi is located by the Jinlong Snow Mountain in Danba, Sichuan, in the canyon area of the Hengduan Mountains. It spans across Ganzi and Aba prefectures, and Moxi in western Sichuan involves the plateau pastures of Jinchuan, Daofu, and Danba counties.
