The Thatched Cottage of Du Fu is the former residence of Du Fu during his exile in Chengdu. Du Fu lived here for nearly four years and wrote over a hundred poems, making it a "holy place" in Chinese literary history. The current Thatched Cottage of Du Fu has undergone multiple repairs during the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. The garden is filled with pavilions, ancient trees, and other attractions such as the Main Hall, Hall of Poetic History, and Ministry of Works Shrine. There is also the "Du Fu's Poetry Calligraphy Woodcut Corridor," completed in 1999, which displays over a hundred woodcut works of calligraphy based on Du Fu's poetry. Du Fu's former thatched cottage, reconstructed based on the characteristics of traditional houses in western Sichuan, has become a iconic landscape of the Thatched Cottage of Du Fu.

The ancient town of Anren is not far from Chengdu, only an hour's drive. The town was built in the Tang Dynasty, and many of the old-style neighborhoods that still exist were built in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. Here, there are buildings from the prosperous period of the Liu family during the Republic of China, combining both Chinese and Western styles, with various elegant and spacious courtyards, creating a unique architectural style in Anren Town, known as the "exquisite cultural heritage of western Sichuan architecture"; other attractions such as the Jianchuan Museum, Anren Old Street, and the Liu Wencheng Mansion are also worth visiting. Accommodation and restaurants here are readily available, and transportation is very convenient. Highly recommended.

The southern part is Liu Wencai's husband's mansion, built in 1932; the northern part is the new mansion built by Liu Wencai for himself and his younger brother Liu Wenhui, who participated in the 1949 uprising and later served as Minister of the State Forestry Administration. He passed away in Beijing in 1976.

Qingcheng Mountain, located in the western part of Dujiangyan City, is one of the birthplaces of Taoism and the ancestral home of the Zhengyi Sect. It is known as "Qingcheng, the Most Secluded Place in the World". Qingcheng Mountain is divided into two scenic areas: the front mountain and the back mountain. The front mountain is relatively small with many palaces and temples, and can be explored in half a day. After entering the gate of Qingcheng Mountain, it takes a 15-minute walk to reach Yuechen Lake. If you want to take the cable car, you must first take a boat across Yuechen Lake, which costs 5 yuan for the boat ticket, and then take the cable car (round trip 50 yuan, one way 30 yuan). After reaching the top, you can visit Shangqing Palace, and then proceed further to reach Laojun Pavilion. The back mountain of Qingcheng Mountain is larger in area, secluded and elegant, and preserves a relatively primitive appearance. It takes a whole day to explore, starting from Taian Temple at the foot of the back mountain and reaching Baiyun Temple at the mountain top, which takes at least two hours. It is best to start climbing before noon. If time runs late, you can stay in Youyi Village at two-thirds of the way. Most tourists visit the front mountain, while the back mountain is more suitable for climbing enthusiasts.
