Introduction
In September 1988, the Maduo County government built a "Hua Xia Soul Source Bullhead Monument" to promote tourism in the headwaters of the Yellow River. The monument is made of pure copper and weighs a total of 5.1 tons. The late 10th Panchen Lama and Comrade Hu Yaobang inscribed the Tibetan and Chinese characters for "Headwaters of the Yellow River" respectively on the monument. The monument is located on the top of the Cuorigaze Mountain in Maduo County, with an altitude of 4,610 meters. The monument is 3 meters high and the monument base is 2 meters high, with a special style and bold font. This monument symbolizes the character and long history of the Chinese nation, which has experienced vicissitudes and worked hard. The primitive totem, the bull, was chosen for the monument, with its rough, tenacious and powerful horns summarizing our great national spirit. It is eye-catching, inspiring, reflecting unparalleled cohesion and centripetal force.
