It is remote and difficult to reach, but its unique and captivating landscapes, such as the world's tallest sand dunes, the magnificent singing sand area, lake oases, desert springs, and desert temples, make it an ideal place for desert exploration, tourism, and photography in recent years. Visitors can depart from cities like Lanzhou and Jinchang or Alashan Left Banner, then take long-distance buses or charter cars to Badain Jaran Town. Visitors need to charter a car or find a local travel agency to explore the Badain Jaran Desert, and some areas have begun to charge fees to tourists, such as Badain Lake and Badain Jaran Desert Geological Park.
