Rainbow Danxia

Address: Nantai Village, Nijiaying Township, Linze County, Zhangye City. Zhangye's colorful Danxia landform is famous because of the film "A Touch of Sin", and it has become a popular filming location for several other films. As the only composite area in China with Danxia landform and colorful hills, it has been ranked as one of the seven most beautiful Danxia landforms in China by "China National Geographic".

Ice Gorge Danxia

The Bingu Danxia with palace-like landforms has a unique shape and is a rare Danxia landscape in the country. It lacks the colorful colors of the rainbow Danxia, but it can depict spectacular scenes such as the Louvre's illusion, the welcoming of the camel, and the Vajravairocana. The core visiting area of the Bingu Danxia scenic area is divided into two parts: Xiaoxitian Scenic Area and Daxitian Scenic Area. The Daxitian Scenic Area is the essence, and the main attractions include Jile Palace, Posuo Palace, Liu Li Palace, and Vajravairocana.

The seven-colored danxia showcases its vibrant colors, and the ice grooves reveal their distinctive forms. Pingshanhu Grand Canyon boasts magnificent natural beauty, comparable to the Grand Canyon of Colorado. The mountains are accompanied by rivers, with towering peaks and breathtaking landscapes, showcasing the splendid craftsmanship of nature.

MaTizi Grottoes

Green mountains, beautiful water, unique peaks, and mysterious caves are the four wonders. It is named after the legendary heavenly horse drank water here and left horseshoe prints. The Thirty-three Heavenly Buddha Cave is the main building of the Horseshoe Temple. This grotto was built during the Northern Liang Dynasty, built along the mountain with seven layers of steps. It contains many ancient Buddha statues and is one of the historical and valuable cultural relics in Gansu Province. It is known as one of the "Three Great Artistic Grottoes" along with the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang and the Yulin Grottoes in Anxi, and the Yulin Grottoes are known as "the holy land of Buddhism in Hexi".
The Giant Buddha Temple is located in Zhangye City. It is named after the largest reclining Buddha nirvana statue in China. It was built by the imperial court of the Western Xia Dynasty and is currently the only existing temple of the Western Xia Dynasty. According to records, the empress dowager of the Western Xia Dynasty, who was devoted to Buddhism, often resided in the Giant Buddha Temple. Emperor Kublai Khan and Emperor Tugh Temür of the Yuan Dynasty were both born in this temple.

Shandan Military Horse Ranch

This is a royal military horse farm established by General Huo Qubing of the Western Han Dynasty. For more than 3000 years, it has bred the famous Shandan horses known all over the world. The Shandan Horse Farm has a flat terrain and abundant water and grass, with lush vegetation in summer and golden colors in autumn. Here, besides enjoying the stunning scenery of the Qilian Mountains, visitors can also watch exciting horse racing or equestrian performances. From June to August, the meadows are covered with wildflowers, making it the most beautiful season of the horse farm.
