Introduction

Sanxiaxia is a scenic spot located in the upstream of Halahe River, 78 kilometers northeast of Arxan City. It is within the Tianchi Forest Farm of Arxan Forestry Bureau. It consists of three deep pools: Yingsong Pool, Yingbi Pool, and Longfeng Pool, with a canyon about 3 kilometers long. The riverbed is composed of different sizes of shale, and Halahe River runs through it, turbulent and pearl-green, and there are many volcanic lava covering the riverbed. The water is calm and mirror-like in the deep, and people can walk on the stones in the shallow water. The south wall of the canyon is steep and dangerous, while the north wall is composed of huge volcanic rock piles. This section of the river still has ice and snow until June, like a summer glacier, which is very spectacular.

Transportation

1. Yiershi Airport is the nearest airport to Arxan, about 17 kilometers away. Tourists can take a flight to Yiershi and then transfer to a bus to Arxan. 2. Arxan has a train station, with four trains currently running daily between Baicheng and Shenyang North. 3. There is currently a bus station in Arxan, with buses running between Arxan and several surrounding cities, such as Ulan Hot. After arriving in Arxan, visitors can take a taxi or rent a car to the scenic area. Within the forest park, there is transportation to various scenic spots.
