Introduction

Wutunxia Temple, also known as "Senge Yongxia Temple" in Tibetan, means "a land of good and complete Dharma". The temple consists of a Great Hall of Scriptures, a Maitreya Hall, a Guardian Hall and a courtyard for tea rooms, covering a total area of about 80 acres. In the temple, there are provincial-level cultural relics, such as the Qing Dynasty sandalwood-carved Maitreya Buddha statue. In addition, the temple houses five relics of Sakyamuni Buddha, believed to have been brought from India, which are enshrined in the statue of Sakyamuni Buddha, the treasure of the temple. More than a thousand relics of Buddhist monks are also preserved in the temple, emitting a fragrant aroma when cremated. The temple also holds numerous Buddhist sutras, including over 7,000 volumes of the "Gan Zuer" and "Dan Zuer". Outside the temple, there are eight white Buddha stupas called "Enlightenment Eight Buddha Stupas", all of which were built with donations from Wutun villagers.
