A classical garden with the prominent feature of a circular water pavilion and the beauty of both Chinese northern and southern gardens. With a total area of 24,000 square meters and a water area of over 7,900 square meters, it is named Lotus Pond because of the blooming lotus flowers in summer. The ancient Lotus Pond is a national-level cultural relic protection unit and one of the top ten famous gardens in China. The garden mainly includes buildings such as Water East Tower, Algae Chanting Hall, Gentleman's Longevity Hall, Echoing Qin Pavilion, Gao Fen Xuan, Hanlv Xuan, Lin Yi Pavilion, and Guanlan Pavilion. The beautiful Wan Hong Bridge, winding bridge, and the White Jade Bridge built in the Yuan Dynasty are scattered among the artificial mountains, peculiar rocks, and lotus ponds, forming a picturesque scenery with poems. The layout of the garden is well-organized, orderly and elegant, and it is renowned as the "Penglai of the city" and "Little West Lake".
