Haogia Pork Ribs was founded by the fourth-ranked imperial chef Haoshiwei. The temple was built during the Tang Dynasty Zhenyuan era (785-804 AD), but the construction of the tower was delayed until the Jin Dynasty. The Cangshan Scenic Area is located 18 kilometers north of Yuxian County. According to legend, this is where Zhao Wu, the illegitimate child of Zhao Dun, who was hidden by Cheng Ying during the Spring and Autumn Period. It was originally named Yushan, and later renamed Cangshan. During the Spring and Autumn Period, Zhao Dun, a nobleman of the State of Jin, was framed by Tu'an Ganjia and his entire family was killed. Cheng Ying and Gongsun Chujiu, the followers of Zhao Dun, hid Zhao Wu in Cangshan, but Gongsun Chujiu was also killed. Cangshan is the place where this story took place.
