Dabie Mountain Rainbow Waterfall Scenic Area is located in Huangwei Town, Yuexi County. It is 34 kilometers away from both Yuexi County and Huoshan County. It is 1.5 kilometers from the Huangwei exit of the Jiguang Expressway. The scenic area features numerous peaks, verdant mountains, magnificent cliffs, deep valleys, winding rivers, and is famous for being the source of the Monkey River, one of the tributaries of the Fuziling Reservoir. Legend has it that Niulang, a cowherd in Dabie Mountain, met Zhinü, the Weaving Maid, in the gorge of Monkey River, creating a mythical love story.
