Introduction

This street is only about 4 meters wide and is a miniature representation of "one country, two systems" in the world. Before the return of Hong Kong in 1997, the eastern side of the street belonged to China while the western side belonged to the UK, thus named as the Chinese and British Street. The tax-free policy leads to a variety of shops selling goods from all over the world with lower prices, but buyers need to be cautious. Visitors often take photos with the boundary stone although the inscriptions have gradually blurred and lost some of their sharpness.
