Introduction
Yamdrok Lake is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. Legend has it that a long time ago, this area was just a spring, and a wealthy man lived nearby. One day, the wealthy man took his servant Dawa to search for treasure and girls at the spring, but they were unsuccessful. The wealthy man pushed Dawa into the spring and he drowned. A girl appeared and turned into endless waves attacking the wealthy man, who received retribution. From then on, a clear blue and extremely mystical lake formed here, but unlike Namtso and Mapam Yumco, it does not seem to have a sacred mountain accompanying it, just existing quietly.
