Introduction
Khuzhir is the largest town on Olkhon Island and is often chosen by backpackers as a place to stay. The town is located between grasslands and forests, has a population of 1500 people, and faces the famous Shaman Rock.
Currently, there are many wooden guesthouses that offer accommodation in the town, including the Olkhon Khan Hotel, which is run by a Chinese female boss. The hotel has three buildings and a spacious Chinese restaurant which serves dishes cooked by Northeastern and Russian chefs with great taste. This is a good choice for tourists who are not fluent in Russian. Even if you are not a guest of the hotel, you can dine at the restaurant. The hotel is less than twenty minutes' walk from Shaman Rock.
In addition, the front desk at the Olkhon Wooden Eco-Hotel once worked in Beijing and can communicate with guests in Chinese or English. The hotel offers laundry and spa services and can also book dinner reservations for guests. Address Khuzhir, Irkutsk Oblast, Russia
