Introduction

Zhangye Wetland Park is located in the northern suburb of Zhangye city, in an underground water overflow zone, and is one of the closest national wetland parks to a city. As one of the largest urban wetland parks in the northwest region, the park has abundant vegetation and fresh air with few visitors. In spring, migratory birds arrive, lotus flowers bloom in summer, reeds turn golden in autumn, and the winter scenery is beautiful with a skating rink for children. From the park, visitors can see the distant Qilian Mountains, bridges over flowing water, and scenic mountains and rivers. The locals affectionately call it the "big wetland" and it is truly a representation of the expression "half of the city is filled with reeds and half with temples".
