Introduction

Du Fu's former residence in Chengdu is considered a holy land in the history of Chinese literature, where he spent nearly four years and wrote over a hundred poems. The current Du Fu Thatched Cottage was restored multiple times during the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, and features pavilions, ancient trees, and high historical and cultural value. The main attractions include the Grand Hall, Poetry and History Hall, and Ministry of Public Works Shrine, with the "Du Fu's Poetry and Calligraphy Woodcut Corridor" showcasing over a hundred works of calligraphy and woodcut prints. The Thatched Cottage is the iconic landscape of Du Fu's former residence, with its design inspired by traditional homes in southwestern Sichuan.
