Quanzhou Confucian Temple is a key national cultural heritage site and one of the main cultural relics in Quanzhou City. It was first built in the late Tang Dynasty, and the Kong Temple was relocated here in the early years of the Northern Song Dynasty. It was established as a state school in 982. After being relocated again, it was moved back in 1109 and rebuilt in 1137. The temple has a grand architectural scale and combines architectural styles from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. It has a long history, complete regulations, magnificent momentum, and rich cultural connotations. It is the largest Confucian temple complex in the Southeast region and represents the organic combination of Central Plains culture and Minnan ancient architectural art from the Song Dynasty.
