Gualing Village was established in the Ming Dynasty and was named Gualing Village because of its large-scale melon cultivation. There are two unique watchtowers in the village, one in the front and one in the back, which were funded and built by overseas Chinese in Gualing Village during the Republican era. They played a role in defending against bandits and were also used during the resistance against Japan; bullet holes can still be seen on the walls. Gualing Village in Zengcheng has a history of over 500 years and is the only water-based Qing Dynasty architectural residential cluster in Guangzhou, with typical Lingnan water village style.

Convenient location, no need to worry about parking. 12% off for members from Monday to Friday, and regular activities. "Fried beef ho fun" is a must-have for every table, with slightly transparent noodles and special spicy sauce. "Vinegar chicken feet" are plump and flavorful, served with refreshing radish slices, very appetizing. "Pan-fried dumplings" are large, perfectly fried with crispy skin, a must-have. Four-color dumplings with a whole shrimp, Cantonese-style cold tossed wood ear mushrooms, rich and sweet custard buns, and tender oil-seared vegetables are all must-haves. Tea lovers can bring their own tea bags and get a discount of 10 yuan!

Slowly walk a distance, and you can see the hint of red. The trees are lush, with dense branches and leaves. You can smell the fragrance of lychees and see the fruits hanging from the branches. Bai Juyi once said, "Once detached from the branch, the color changes in a day, and the taste changes in three days." Of course, lychees are best when they are fresh, and there is no problem of changing taste when you pick them by hand. However, excessive consumption of anything is not beneficial, so control your intake. In the season when lychees are in abundance, people bring their families to lychee gardens to pick them on weekends. They can not only enjoy fresh lychees and the fun of picking, but also enjoy the clean air of the countryside. Superb!

After check-in, we had dinner at the homestay. Sitting in the restaurant, we could smell the delicious aroma from the kitchen. The chef specially prepared a delicious dinner for us, making us feel at home. The elegant bar counter, after dinner, how about a glass of sake and talk about the past? The homestay also has a multi-functional projection hall, meeting room, and tea room, where you can enjoy tea and chat with close friends. Staying at the homestay during the reading season can meet many of my needs. If possible, I really hope to stay here and not leave.

As soon as you enter the courtyard, you can feel a strong Chinese style. The deep courtyard, as if it had traveled from ancient times, the main building is a fusion of Chinese and Western architectural art, with white walls and black tiles, simple and beautiful. My favorite part is the elegant and fresh courtyard design, which is exquisitely crafted and uniquely crafted. With a leisurely stroll, you can enjoy the green scenery of Nankun Mountain that stretches for miles. The rooms are classical and elegant, and every piece of furniture and decoration is carefully selected by the homeowner. Sitting on the balcony, you can admire the beautiful scenery of Nankun Mountain.

Liantang Village is mostly comprised of buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The buildings cover an area of over 15,000 square meters, forming 11 vertical alleys and 8 horizontal alleys in a chessboard-like pattern. The architectural complex includes 1 Hongsheng Palace, 8 ancestral halls and incense halls, 3 study rooms, 1 watchtower, 2 gatehouses, and 70 residential houses. Within Hongsheng Palace, there are still 15 engraved stone tablets, which are rare in Zengcheng. The Grand Study is built in a garden style, consisting of a small gatehouse, a pavilion, a study room, a reception hall, a living quarters, a kitchen, a long corridor, a storage room, a water pavilion, a lotus pond, a flower bridge, and two small gardens. In June 2000, it was designated as a historical and cultural conservation area by the Guangzhou municipal government. The scenery of Liantang in spring is as vibrant as its name suggests. The quaint village, the green lotus pond, and the bamboo forest along the riverbank, along with the cycling greenway that surrounds the entire village scenic area, provide a pleasant and beautiful experience where you can leisurely ride a bicycle while enjoying the tranquil rural scenery and the picturesque Zengjiang Gallery.

The restaurant has two floors. The first floor is simple in decoration, and the second floor is more stylish. The overall environment is clean, and the servers are also very enthusiastic. The recommended dishes are all good and delicious. I thought vegetarian dishes would be bland, but they turned out to be creative and flavorful, very tasty. My favorite is the white mushroom steak. Although the mushroom flavor is prominent, the texture is thick and meaty, and it tastes tender. The sauce also gives it a steak-like sensation. The jade fortune bag is exquisite and has a refreshing taste, very healthy. Highly recommended.
