During the Qing Dynasty, it was one of the famous ancient eight scenery of Kaiyuan - Songshan Xianghu. Ivory Mountain was opened to the public in 1996.

Yehe Nala City is located in Yehe Town, Siping City. It is the birthplace of Empress Dowager Xiaoci Gaohuanghou (Meng Gugege), the mother of Emperor Taiji. It is also known as "the hometown of the queen". The original site of the ancient city was destroyed during Nurhaci's last attack on Yehe Kingdom in 1619 and cannot be rebuilt. The true ruins are ten kilometers away and have been cultivated. Only mounds are left, which are enclosed as a provincial cultural site. The Yehe Nala City we visit now was built in 1994 and was used as a filming location for the TV series "Yehe Nala Princess" in 1998, hence the name "Film and Television City".
