Introduction

The building at 7 Castle Road, Mid-levels, Hong Kong Island, stands there in the form of a small colonial building. It introduces the life of the founding father Sun Yat-sen and his relationship with Hong Kong. This building is one of the earliest private residences in Hong Kong to adopt reinforced concrete structure and electrical design. It is also one of the few remaining early 20th-century buildings in Hong Kong, and is very distinctive. Visitors can take a stroll along the Sun Yat-sen Historical Trail and experience the charm of early 20th-century Hong Kong. The trail descends along the mountainside, offering pleasant scenery.
