Introduction

In October 2002, a serious incident occurred in Indonesia. Some extremists detonated a bomb at a recreational venue, causing the deaths of more than 200 tourists from around the world, including 88 Australians. To commemorate these innocent lives lost, a monument was erected opposite the site of the bombing.
