Introduction
The Kota Kinabalu Wetland Centre is located in the mangrove swamp area, only two kilometers away from the city center, covering an area of approximately 24 hectares. Since becoming a bird sanctuary in 1996, it has become an important habitat and feeding ground for local and migratory birds in Northern Asia. This natural bird sanctuary protects many rare bird species, such as egrets, kingfishers, pigeons, and purple herons, making it a popular destination for tourists and researchers.
