Introduction

Although the reputation and scale of Xiao Zhao Temple are not as great as those of Da Zhao Temple, it has its own unique features. According to legend, Xiao Zhao Temple was initially built by Han artisans brought by Princess Wencheng, so the early architecture had a Han-Tang style, but also integrated Tibetan architectural features. After many fires, the current Xiao Zhao Temple is mostly rebuilt in the later period.
