Introduction
There is a small path on the Medicine King Mountain on the west side of Potala Palace that leads to the mountaintop, but the most famous spot here is the panoramic view platform halfway up the mountain. It is known as the best spot for taking photos of Potala Palace by photography enthusiasts. Every morning, they wait here for the first ray of sunshine on Potala Palace. The back design of the currently circulating 50 yuan RMB note was also taken here. If you go to the steep mountain slope on the east foot of Medicine King Mountain, you will find a unique cave-like temple called Chalalupu. Don't forget to bring a headlamp or flashlight. In addition, there are many families carving Mani stones near the famous Wanfo Wall behind the mountain. Just keep walking south on a small path east of the Tibet Tourism Bureau to find it. Transportation Take bus No. 13 or 14 and get off at Yaowangshan Vegetable Market Station; it is also within walking distance from Potala Palace.
