Introduction

Here is the entrance located at the western end of the Grassland Sky Road, surrounded by steep mountains and strong winds. Geese often pass by, and falling due to strong wind is not uncommon. Historically, this place was an important military stronghold. Within the scenic area, there is the "802" Exercise Memorial Hall that displays a large number of photos from the largest military exercise in the history of the Chinese army. Now, the Wild Fox Ridge Fortress, the Sulmon Allied Forces Martyrs Cemetery, the Mongjin Battle Ancient Battlefield Site, and the Sixth Generation Great Wall Ancient Site together form an important military tourism area. The scenic area also has facilities such as physical expansion training area, national defense and civil air defense tunnel visiting area, large-scale weapon outdoor exhibition area, and tourist consultation services.

East Entrance: G6 Expressway- Zhangjiakou- Zhangcheng Expressway- Chongli- S242 Provincial Road- Huapiling- Grassland Sky Road East Entrance. ②Bus + Charter: Bus: The bus from Beijing to Zhangbei departs from Liuliqiao Bus Station and Yongdingmen Bus Station. Liuliqiao Bus Station departure times are 6:10, 7:50, 8:00, 8:55, 16:00, and 16:40 daily with a total of 6 departures. Yongdingmen Bus Station departure times are 8:00, 10:00, and 20:00 daily with a total of 3 departures. The ticket price ranges from 87 to 100 yuan. Charter: After arriving at Zhangbei County, you can charter a car for sightseeing. A small car costs about 400 yuan per day, and the charter is usually for two days, including a visit to Luanhe Shenyun and Lightning Lake Scenic Area in Guoyuan County. Note: There are no supplies or restrooms along the way, so be prepared before traveling.
