The theme of each festival is different, but the ice waterfall spectacle cascading down the Shunshui Reservoir Dam is preserved every year. The 70-meter-high giant dam features a huge ice waterfall adorned with ice flowers and icicles, creating a sparkling and translucent ice and snow paradise. The beautiful Longqingxia Ice Lantern Festival brings joy to visitors. It is held annually. The ice lanterns of Longqingxia have their own characteristics. The ice lanterns and colored lanterns in different themes throughout the years contain the rich wisdom and creativity of people, and bring beauty to the visitors. With the clever design of sound, light, and electricity, the ice lantern art of Longqingxia is full of charm. The Longqingxia Ice Lantern project has been going on for 24 years and has gained widespread recognition from domestic and foreign tourists. This year, the 25th Ice Lantern Festival will open on January 16th, 2011. The exhibition area covers an area of 200,000 square meters and is divided into four major areas: colored lantern area, snow sculpture area, ice exhibition area, and the "Longqingxia Cup" International Ice Sculpture and Snow Sculpture Grand Prix competition area. It includes more than 350 ice lantern works, more than 100 snow sculptures, and more than 1000 lantern works. This year's Longqingxia Ice Lantern Festival has added many new highlights compared to previous years, showcasing the prosperous and harmonious scene of a prosperous country, happy and healthy people, and a stable society through exquisite ice lanterns, colorful lanterns, and pure snow sculptures, reflecting the theme of "Ice and Snow in Longqingxia". The ice lanterns are different every year, especially this year. The millions of colored lanterns in the ice lanterns this year are all LED energy-saving lights. Compared to the incandescent and fluorescent lights previously used, LED energy-saving lights can save half of the electricity bill each day; and LED lights do not have mercury pollution, do not harm the soil and water source, and can be recycled; LED light bulbs are small in size and can create high-brightness point sources. The finer the light source, the more varied the shape and the softer and more natural the light effect; also, LED lights are cold light sources, with little heat dissipation, so it is not easy to melt ice in the ice sculptures. The Ice Lantern Festival also features many colorful ice sculptures, such as unicorn auspicious beasts, pavilions and towers, and classical figures, either all green or orange, resembling jade and agate. It is said that the colored ice is made with edible pigments. Children can't help but touch, smell, and even lick the ice sculptures. The colored ice is 100% safe, allowing children to approach without any worries. The Longqingxia Ice Lantern Festival will continue until the end of February. Yunpu Gorge is located in the half tofu mountain at the junction of Yanqing County and Chicheng County in Hebei Province. It is about 16 kilometers southwest of Yanqing Town, 6 kilometers east of the famous Longqing Gorge Scenic Area, and adjacent to Xianglong Road. The tofu mountain where it is located is a mountain peak on the northwest side of Yanqing Basin, with an elevation of 1157 meters, belonging to the Jundu Mountain. There are multiple streams and waterfalls in the gorge, hence the name "Yunpu Gorge". On the mountain top, there are over 100 acres of "subalpine meadows" and a large area of wasteland that can be used for outdoor camping. It has the geographical and ecological advantages for long-distance hiking. Yunpu Gorge Scenic Area covers more than 4,000 acres in total, and it is a rare primitive natural landscape in northern China. The scenery varies with seasons: in spring, the mountain is full of flowers; in summer, there are lush green leaves and sweet springs; in autumn, the sky is clear and the meadows are boundless; in winter, there are ice sculptures and a silver landscape. The Yunpu Gorge canyon is called "Old Wind Gorge" by the locals because of the cool breeze in summer. There are numerous small streams and twists and turns in the canyon, appearing and disappearing intermittently, just like the artistic conception in Wang Wei's quatrain "Mountain": "Through Jing Creek comes white stones, In the cold sky, red leaves are rare. No rain on the mountain road, But greenish clothes are dampened.” The stone ridges in the valley have unique formations, claiming to be a sight: Crocodile Peak, Panshi Ridge, Lingzhi Stone, Lion King's Face, Giant Spirit Turtle, Seven-colored Stone, and the distinctive "Northern Sky Pillar" giant stone can be seen from afar in the valley. Other bizarre rocks are also scattered in the valley, with various shapes and vivid images. There are three springs and five waterfalls in the valley (three springs are Tea Waterfall, scripture Waterfall, and Lingwang Waterfall; Yunwang Waterfall, Yunqing Waterfall, Yunfei Waterfall, Yunqu Waterfall, Yunyi Waterfall). The creek is clear and inviting. According to relevant records, in the spring of 1947, Li Chengzhong, a member of the Yanqing County brigade (from Wanping), sacrificed himself near the Erdao Waterfall. This has practical significance for patriotic education. At the end of Yunpu Gorge, there is a place called Foye Bay, where there are cliff carvings of Buddha statues and inscriptions from the Ming Dynasty's Zhengde period. It is a worth seeing ancient relic that can be appreciated and worshiped. From Foye Bay, if you follow the mountain trail on the right, you can reach "Moyaoting" halfway up the mountain. The top of the mountain has a good ecological environment and abundant wildlife resources. The subalpine meadows are densely grown with various medicinal herbs and wild flowers, including Codonopsis, Astragalus, Rhododendron, Bellflower, Bupleurum, Paeonia, Clove, Thorn of Chinese Honeylocust, Eleutherococcus, Aconitum, and Roses. Among them, the bellflower is the most abundant. The nearby Taian Mountain Nature Reserve, adjacent to the half tofu mountain, has a variety of wild animals, including antelopes, leopards, muntjac, badgers, squirrels, pheasants, wild rabbits, and more. There are also hundreds of bird species, such as golden eagles, pigeons, magpies, larks, warblers, woodpeckers, yellow warblers, making it a great place for sightseeing, mountaineering, and leisure.

Xiadu Park is located on Hubei West Road, Yanqing District. It was originally the old channel of Guihe River and was built in 1995 by digging a lake in the upstream of the Guihe River flowing through the Yanqing County. It complements the famous central green square, Yuanchuan Square, built in 1998, and they echo each other. The park covers a total area of 3,500 mu, including 1,000 mu of water area, which is divided into two lake areas by the Guishui Bridge. There is a golf practice area of 18,000 square meters in the lake area, with a tee area of 1,224 square meters. On one side of the practice area, there are more than ten kinds of fitness equipment installed in the fitness park for visitors to exercise and relax. The central part of the north bank is a 2,900-square-meter water stage, where large-scale cultural performances can be held. On both sides of the lake, there are more than 3,500 square meters of boat docks, where all water activities start. The southeast corner of the park is a 500-square-meter dynamic cinema. In the center of the lake, there is a large laser music fountain, composed of 551 nozzles of different sizes and 256 colored lights. The spraying diameter is 80 meters, and the maximum lift can reach 118 meters. It is the most beautiful scenery in the park and the focus of visitors' attention.
