Old Jinding, Where Clouds Dance and Peaks Thrill
Fanjing Mountain Moon Mirror Peak, Indjiang Tujia and Miao Autonomous County, Tongren City, Guizhou Province

Introduction
In the past, Laojinding was known as "Moon Mirror Mountain" because its rocks could produce the "Moon Mirror" phenomenon. Historical records show that on clear nights with a full moon, people could take a piece of slate from Laojinding and clearly reflect their own images. While this has not been verified, Laojinding's rocks have a pure chemical composition and a hard, fine texture, making the "Moon Mirror" phenomenon possible under specific air and lighting conditions.
The "Moon Mirror" phenomenon is unique to Mount Fanjing, which adds to its mystery and stunning scenery.
Looking around from Laojinding, the various shapes of the rock formations and mountains are mesmerizing, resembling an endless ocean of rolling hills and forests. Even the majestic architecture of Xinjinding at the foot of the mountain seems small in comparison.
