Introduction

The ancient city of Qianzhou in Jishou has a history of over 4200 years. It is located on the banks of the Wanrong River in the city center of Jishou, the capital of Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture in Hunan Province. The surrounding mountains are beautiful, with a ten-mile basin in the middle and the Wanrong River flowing through the city. The riverside is shaded by green trees and the fields are lush. In the ancient city, there are criss-crossing blue-stone streets, ancient and quaint houses, Jiangnan-style Hujia Pond and Jiufu Hall, a reverent Confucian Temple, and Qianzhou's Eight Scenic Spots, as well as lively attractions like "Qianzhou Spring Culture" and Guanyin Pavilion, which all exude the historical and cultural atmosphere of the ancient city, captivating visitors. Additionally, the "Grand View Garden", a non-material cultural heritage site in Xiangxi, hosts non-material cultural heritage performances on its open-air stage in the city's many craft workshops, which are also not to be missed.
