Introduction

Larong Co, located next to the sacred lake of Mapam Yumco, presents a beautiful crescent-shaped lake to the west, also blue. Mapam Yumco is shaped like the sun, and the two lakes are harmonious and unified, exhibiting extreme beauty. This is a must-visit place for entering and exiting Purang County, and it is said that the Ghost Lake has no wind and only three feet of waves, but in reality, the colors of the mountains along the lake are enchanting and beautiful. The pebbled beach on the lake is like a bright silver belt inset on the edge of the lake. There are also dark red islands in the lake. Standing on the shore of Larong Co Lake, you can feel a wonderful breath, and the entire lake area is spacious and uninhabited, as if standing on the edge of the universe. The two lakes, the sacred lake and the ghost lake, are not far apart and are connected by waterways, but the water quality is completely different: the sacred lake is clear and refreshing, while the ghost lake is bitter and difficult to swallow. The opposition between these two reminds us of the symbol of the great elephant in Buddhism - the union of the main idol and the Buddha mother, demonstrating the spirit of harmony and unity. Nowadays, the sacred lake and the ghost lake gently undulate in the soft wind, without showing off or sorrow, only eternal companionship.
