Introduction

The Dahai Grass Mountain is located on the alpine meadow, known as the "New Zealand". Each season the Dahai Grass Mountain has a unique scenery that never disappoints. In the spring and summer, it has a feeling of the Mongolian grassland, while in the fall and winter, it is like Tibet's snow-covered plateau. Due to its magical beauty that combines "Mongolian style and Tibetan scenery", it has been recommended as one of the 108 most beautiful landmarks in the country by the National Geographic Magazine.
When visiting the Dahai Grass Mountain, looking up at the peak of the Guniu Mountain in the southeast, the clouds and mist are bewitching, making it a beautiful sight to behold. Looking down, the magnificent "colorful carpet of grass" is decorated with a sea of flowers, making it feel like entering a fairyland. If the weather is clear, you can also enjoy the stunning "Buddha's Light" at sunrise.
The indigenous people of the Dahai Grass Mountain are the Yi ethnic group. Their houses are built with green stone walls and use local natural slate tiles for the roofs, which is unique in the province and beyond. Enjoy the viewing of these characteristic dwellings, and talk to the Yi people to feel their simple folk customs and unique culture.
