TIPS
The Guandu Ancient Town, located in the southeast suburbs of Kunming City, Yunnan Province, China, is situated on the northern shore of Dianchi Lake and the lower reaches of the Baoxiang River. It is 10 kilometers away from the city center and is a nationally renowned scenic tourist town with distinctive characteristics, rated as a 4A-level tourist attraction. Guandu is one of the birthplaces of Yunnan culture and was originally called "Wodong". It was a protruding hill on the east bank of Dianchi Lake, where humans have lived for 3500 years. The Nanzhao Kingdom established a ferry here, attracting visits from local officials and scholars who composed poems and essays, becoming immersed in the beauty of the place. Hence the name Guandu.
