Introduction
A historic floating bridge located in the urban area of Ganzhou, Jiangxi, is called the Huimin Bridge and has different names such as Dongjin Bridge, Donghe Floating Bridge, and Jianchunmen Floating Bridge. This 400-meter-long floating bridge is made up of more than 100 small boats connected by cables and was first built during the Song Dynasty, over 800 years ago, by the knowledge governor Hong Mai to connect the two ends of the Zhang River and facilitate the passage of merchant ships. Since the Song Dynasty, Ganzhou's economy has seen great development, and three floating bridges were built on the Zhang and Gong Rivers to facilitate communication between the city and the outside world. Today, only the Jianchunmen Floating Bridge remains, serving as a historical and cultural landscape of the national historical and cultural city, preserved especially for the people of Ganzhou.
