Introduction

Wuliang Guan is a famous Taoist temple located in Qianshan Beigou in the southeast of Anshan City, Liaoning Province. Also known as Wuliang Guan, it is named for its initial construction without beams. The temple was built in the sixth year of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty by Liu Tailin, the eighth-generation disciple of the Dragon Gate Sect of Taoism, and has been renovated multiple times. There are many buildings inside and outside the temple, including Laojun Hall, San Guan Hall, Cihang Hall, South Heaven Gate, Ba Xian Tower, Ancestral Master Tower, and Ge Gong Tower. Laojun Hall, built in the early Kangxi period, has been renovated many times and houses a statue of Laojun. San Guan Hall was built in the twenty-sixth year of Daoguang and is named after the Three Great Emperors worshiped there. Cihang Hall, originally called Cihang Ge, houses a statue of Cihang Taoist. The stone platform on the mountain waist in front of the temple is called "Juxian Platform," and it is said that there were often immortals resting there. The temple is surrounded by steep peaks and pine forests, and features attractions such as South Heaven Gate, Bell Tower, Ten Thousand Year Pine, Straight Pine, and Stone Niche Pine. The entire building is built along the mountains and water, with the halls and houses arranged in a tiered fashion, with a natural layout and clever construction, making it one of the famous Taoist temples in the northeast region.
