Introduction

The construction of the Xanadu site began in the 11th year of the Yuan dynasty (1307 AD) and was as famous as the Yuan capital (now Beijing) and the Yuan upper capital (now located in Zhenglan Banner, Inner Mongolia). It was built by Kublai Khan's grandson, Emperor Wu of Yuan, and was one of the four capitals of the Mongol Empire, consisting of three concentric cities: the inner, middle, and outer cities. Currently, tourists can visit the excavated Central Hall, the Southwest Corner Tower, and the South Gate. In addition, the Xanadu Site Museum project has been launched, and visitors can enjoy well-preserved cultural relics from the Yuan Dynasty.
