Introduction
Renzhuang Tunnel Warfare Memorial Hall was established in 1959 and originally belonged to Renzhuang Village. Due to historical changes and the requirements of the task, its management organization has been changed several times. In March 2004, the Cultural Relics Protection Management Committee of Tunnel Warfare Sites and the Patriotic Education Base Management Committee of Qingyuan County were established, with an office set up. The director of Renzhuang Tunnel Warfare Memorial Hall serves as the head, and it is a full-funded institution at the county level. The memorial hall includes the Jizhong Renzhuang Tunnel Warfare Exhibition Hall built in 1991 and the Renzhuang Tunnel Warfare Site Protection Area covering an area of 300,000 square meters. The exhibition hall houses a large number of precious revolutionary cultural relics and uses modern display methods to reproduce the war scenes of that year. At the same time, the site retains various military facilities such as houses, livestock pens, stoves, and stone fortresses from that year. The scenes of Renzhuang's Anti-Japanese Village Office and Anti-Japanese Armed Committee are also restored, making people feel as if they have traveled back to that war era. The facilities such as underground tunnels, checkpoints, traps, and underground factories 3,000 meters below ground are also preserved intact.
