Introduction

Located along the western edge of the Sichuan Basin in Hongya County, Meishan City, the WaWuShan National Forest Park is 104 square kilometers in size and is 180 kilometers away from Chengdu. The park is composed of several scenic areas, including the primitive forest exploration area of WaWuShan, the Yuping artificial forest resort area, and the Baimian Mountain area for ancient ruins and natural beauty. WaWuShan is a famous historical and cultural mountain in China, the birthplace of Taoism, the hometown of Chinese pigeon flowers, and the kingdom of world rhododendrons. Since its establishment in May 1993, the park has gone through nine years of development and construction and has become the largest national forest park in the country, winning the title of one of the top ten exemplary units of national forest parks and the title of national civilized forestry park.
