Heilongtan Reservoir is located in Heilongtan Town, Renshou County, Meishan City, Sichuan Province, China. It is known as the "First Sea of Western Sichuan" and is a large-scale reservoir mainly for irrigation and water supply, and also functions for flood control and aquaculture. It has a total of 1,319 channels (divided into main and branch canals of different levels) with a total length of 3,692.30 kilometers, irrigating 1.21 million mu of farmland in Renshou, Jingyan, and Jianyang. In 1986, Heilongtan was designated as one of the first provincial-level scenic spots by the Sichuan provincial government.

Located in the central part of the Heilongtan Scenic Area, surrounded by water on all sides, adjacent to the central area, facing Bao'en Temple, with an area of 17.5 square meters. The island is equipped with mountain paths, Yulong Pavilion, viewing pavilion, painting and calligraphy academy, and a monkey garden. It is carved with the handwriting "Panlong Island" by the painter Feng Jianwu. On the east side cliff, there is also a giant dragon head measuring 17 meters in height and 18 meters in length, and a 40-meter-long dragon body.

Consisting of a mountain gate hall, Thousand-Hand Guanyin Hall, Mountain God Hall, Grand Buddha Hall, and Bell and Drum Tower. In 2001, the Buddhavihara, with a height of 39.96 meters and 76 Buddha statues, was completed on the main peak of Chen Dashan, serving as a pilgrimage site for Buddhism in Shouxian County.

Located in the heart of the Heilongtan Scenic Area, it is one of the largest islands. The three bays have a unique shape, with many bends and deep water, and the coastline is winding, connected to the western hills by a bridge. The island has various mountains such as Huaguo Mountain, Fengpi Mountain, Amilun Buddha Mountain, Xiaolian Mountain, Caoping Mountain, and Xiaopenglai Mountain. The environment is quiet, with lush trees. It has been named as a "Provincial Forest Park" by the Forestry Department of Sichuan Province.
