Introduction
The Caoyutan Scenic Area, located upstream of the Qingyi River in Hongya County, covers an area of approximately 18 square kilometers. Visitors can enjoy beautiful natural scenery and rich cultural landscapes here. The unique Jiangxia landscape is formed by the ancient Camphor trees and Qing Dynasty ancient architecture in the scenic area. There are many ancient stone carvings and temples in the area, such as the reclining Buddha, the life story of Sakyamuni Buddha, and the motorcycle rock carvings. In addition, the scenic area has seven hotels, resorts, and more than 1,200 reception beds. The Caoyutan Scenic Area, along with nearby attractions such as the Leshan Giant Buddha, Mount Emei, Meishan Sansu Temple, and the Qianfoyan Scenic Area, form a circular tourist network. It is about 30 kilometers away from Hongya and easily accessible. It is also close to other popular tourist destinations, such as Leshan (about 95 kilometers), Mt. Emei (about 70 kilometers), Ya'an (about 28 kilometers), Meishan (about 84 kilometers), and Jiajiang (about 66 kilometers).
