Introduction

Located about 2 kilometers away from Enshi City, this is one of the most iconic projects of Tujia chieftain culture in the largest Tujia area in the country. At the same time, it is also the largest and most typical ancient building complex among Tujia stilted buildings in China. The most core part of this complex is the nine-story hall, which is composed of 333 pillars, 333 stone column foundations, 330 doors, thousands of carved wooden windows, thousands of roof purlins and tens of thousands of rafters. In the scenic area, there is a place called "Linjun Temple" where Tujia people worship their ancestors. The temple faces east with a wall against the mountain, which is decorated with a huge scroll painting that records the heroic feats of Linjun's life. In addition, visitors can also admire Tujia stilted houses, most of which are built along the mountains and water, with various fruit trees and bamboo forests planted in front and behind the houses, which is worth seeing.
