The war memorial hall includes five parts: Hero Square, War Exhibition Hall, National Defense Education Garden, Zhuangguo Garden and Cinema. In the 3,000 square meters of Hero Square, stands the magnificent Revolution Martyrs Monument, which is 31.8 meters high, revealing the glorious achievements and eternal merits of the people and the heroes. The front of the monument is engraved with Mao Zedong's calligraphy "Revolutionary martyrs are immortal", while the back is engraved with an inscription written by the former vice chairman of the Central Committee, General Zhang Zhen.
