Hongjialou Church
The iconic landmarks in Jinan are not many, and Hongjia Lou Catholic Church is one of them. It is one of the three famous Catholic churches in China, with a European double-tower Gothic architectural style. The entire building is grand and exquisitely detailed. The most beautiful part of this Gothic church is the exquisite and gorgeous stained glass windows, which provide a better viewing experience inside. It also features exquisite murals and sculptures.
Daming Lake
The south gate leads to the new scenic area of Daming Lake. The ticket for the old scenic area is 30 yuan, while the ticket for the new scenic area is not required. Due to being in the northern region, especially during winter when the climate is not pleasant, Daming Lake is not as beautiful as West Lake. However, its origins are not simple – Daming Lake is formed by the convergence of numerous springs in Jinan.
Known as the first building in Jiangbei, although it has been rebuilt, it is still a historic building. It was built in the Yuan Dynasty and many famous writers left a large number of poems and articles during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Standing on the top of the Chao Ran building and looking around, it is also the highest point on the shore of Daming Lake. As one of the "Chao Ran Zhi Yuan" in the new area of Daming Lake expansion, it can be reached along the corridor, offering a 360-degree breathtaking lake view, truly deserving its reputation.
The mountain road of Qianfo Mountain connects in all directions. If you have time and good physical strength, you can take a good stroll, but it's unlikely to finish in one day. If the weather is good, you can go to Qianfo Mountain at night to see the night view of the Spring City, which must be beautiful.
Lishan Academy
Xingguoqian's Lishanyuan Road is well connected, commonly known as "You". It is said that those with good physical strength can take a good walk during the reign of Qianlong, but it is estimated that they won't be able to finish it in one day. If the weather is good, you can go down the mountain and visit the Fountain City, which is certainly worth praising.
Xingguo Temple has exquisite architecture, fragrant aroma, and a grand presence. It is quite impressive among many temples, although not well-known. Despite its relatively small size, the temple has a particularly compact structure and a strong religious atmosphere. Especially at night, it has a solemn atmosphere without the commercialized feel of daytime tourist attractions.
