Introduction

Besi Temple is one of the four famous temples in Inner Mongolia and is also a national 4A-level scenic spot. It is located on the south slope of Erduo Tao Lige Aobao Mountain in the north of Xilinhot city. The temple was built in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, and after seven generations of lamas' fine-tuning and the construction of 1.74 million taels of silver, it is now divided into seven main halls, more than a dozen smaller halls, and over two thousand monk houses, with a large scale and magnificent momentum. The main halls in Besi Temple are exquisitely carved and painted, with spectacular elegance and a large number of murals reflecting the history and life of the Mongolian people, which are invaluable historical materials for studying Mongolian history and ethnic art. The ticket is 20 yuan and can be reached by taking the No. 1 bus.
