Introduction

The Lushan Botanical Garden, founded in 1934, is a famous attraction of China's subtropical mountain botanical gardens, covering an area of three square kilometers. As one of China's oldest botanical gardens, it is an important base for the preservation of plant species in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The garden has collected over 100,000 domestic and foreign plant specimens and has cultivated more than 3,400 varieties. In addition, it is also the birthplace of the Chinese bald cypress, a "living fossil", and has bred thousands of specimens. In addition to being a research base, the botanical garden is also a beautiful scenic spot divided into 11 exhibition areas providing various natural communities and ecologies for visitors to appreciate. Resting halls and stone tables and benches further enhance the visitor's experience.

Transportation
Lushan Botanical Garden is located within the Lushan Scenic Area. There are several ways to get to the Lushan Scenic Area: By car: 1. Depart from Jiujiang: take the Ring Road to the east gate of Lushan. 2. Depart from Nanchang: take the Beijing-Kowloon Expressway and then the Ring Road via Xingzi to reach Lushan. By public transportation: Take the bus from Sanli Street in Jiujiang (opposite the Armed Police Brigade) or Shilidalaowu (30 minutes, every 15 minutes from 6:00am to 6:00pm). To visit the Lushan Botanical Garden inside the scenic area, take the scenic area sightseeing car and get off at the Botanical Garden station.
