Introduction

Pumoyong Tso is a saltwater lake located in the Himalayas at an altitude of approximately 5010 meters. Its name "Pumo" means little girl, while "yong tso" symbolizes the lake's beauty like jade. It is surrounded by mountains, including the Kula Kangri Mountain located by the lake with an altitude of approximately 7538 meters, which is made up of three peaks and coexists with six mountains above 7000 meters. The water of Pumoyong Tso is clear and blue, and the small islands in the lake resemble giant turtles guarding the "little girl". It is said that the Lotus-born Guru Rinpoche had blessed Pumoyong Tso, which gives it a sacred atmosphere.
