Commemorative place for Mr. Shen Congwen

Introduction

There is a tomb of Mr. Shen Congwen on Tingtao Mountain. After walking down three kilometers from Hui Long Ge Ancient Street, turn right and climb up the mountain steps to see a stone tablet inscribed with "Shen Congwen Tomb". Behind the tomb is a natural multi-colored stone with the handwriting of Shen Congwen, which bears a philosophical sentence: "Reflecting on myself, I can understand 'me'; reflecting on myself, I can know others." In front of the tomb, there is also a vertical stone tablet with an inscription written by artist Huang Yongyu for his uncle Shen Congwen: "A soldier either dies on the battlefield or returns to his hometown." The surrounding area of the tomb is peaceful and elegant, with various chrysanthemums and flower wreaths in bloom.

Transportation

About 1.5 kilometers downstream along Tuojiang River, you will reach Tingtao Mountain. Take the path on the right and climb a flight of stairs to see a stone tablet, which leads to Shen Congwen's tomb.
